St. Mary’s Centenary College of Management (SMCCoM), managed by the Hyderabad Archdiocese Educational Society (HAES), organized a workshop on Student Entrepreneurship and Emerging Startup Opportunities on 16 December 2025 at the Marian Seminar Hall, in collaboration with the Department of Business Management, Osmania University. The workshop featured eminent industry experts Mr. Vishwaraj Saude, COO & CSO, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council (IEC) and associated with Startups India, and Mr. Ravi Tilekar, Founder and CEO of Startups India. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Dr. P. Anthony Vinay, Director and Principal, SMCCoM. The sessions focused on developing entrepreneurial thinking among students and highlighted the importance of innovation, problem-solving, and resilience in today’s startup ecosystem. The speakers shared practical insights from their professional experiences and emphasized the role of incubation centres, innovation councils, and government initiatives such as Startups India in supporting young entrepreneurs. Students actively participated in the interactive sessions, sharing their ideas and seeking guidance. The experts provided valuable feedback and expressed their willingness to mentor students and support them through incubation centres. The workshop concluded successfully, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry engagement among students.
