Industrial Visit – Bridging Classroom Learning with Industry Exposure
Posted on 07 Jan, 2026
As part of its commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement, St. Mary’s Centenary College of Management (SMCCoM) organized an Industrial Visit for MBA students on 07 January 2026, under the aegis of the Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC). The visit provided students with valuable hands-on exposure to real-world business operations, reinforcing the philosophy of “learning by doing.” The students visited renowned organizations across diverse sectors, including PARLE, Zinda Tilismath, an Apiculture (Beekeeping) Unit, and Masqati Dairy Milk. Each organization offered unique insights into manufacturing processes, quality control mechanisms, branding strategies, and operational management practices. During the visit, students closely observed production and processing activities, hygiene and safety standards, supply chain operations, and the integration of traditional practices with modern technology. Interactions with industry professionals enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of organizational structures, managerial roles, and the challenges faced in dynamic business environments. The industrial exposure helped students relate classroom concepts from Operations Management, Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management, and Entrepreneurship to practical industrial scenarios. The visit also enhanced students’ awareness of quality assurance, efficiency, discipline, and innovation across different sectors. Overall, the industrial visit proved to be a highly enriching and informative experience, broadening the students’ professional outlook and strengthening their industry readiness. The College extends its sincere gratitude to the Management, the IIIC, and the representatives of the organizations visited for their cooperation and support in making this visit a meaningful learning journey for the students.
