St. Mary’s Centenary College of Management organized a Guest Lecture on “Strategic Corporate Communication: Leading with Influence and Impact”. The session was delivered by Dr. Melissa Helen, Associate Professor, Department of English, Nizam College. The program began with a warm welcome and formal introduction of the guest speaker, followed by felicitation. Dr. Melissa Helen then addressed the students on the importance of corporate communication in organizations and explained its key components. She highlighted the principles of excellent corporate communication, emphasizing clarity, consistency, credibility, and transparency. During the session, she discussed leadership influence and its impact, explaining the difference between influence and authority, and how effective leaders inspire others through communication rather than position. She also spoke about the barriers of influence that may affect leadership and communication within organizations. Dr. Melissa further explained the concept of Strategic Corporate Communication and clarified the differences between corporate identity, corporate image, and corporate reputation, helping students understand how organizations build and maintain their public perception.
